Westar FCU began in 1963 with a group of school teachers, a shoe box, and a shared vision. Hence, the member owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative was formed to service the employees of the West Genesee School District. Over the years OCM BOCES and other businesses and organizations were welcomed to the credit union. Now, membership has expanded to include people who live, work, worship, or attend school in the towns of Camillus, Elbridge, Geddes, Van Buren, Onondaga, and Marcellus, New York.
For more than 50 years, we have taken pride in delivering excellent service and building lasting relationships with our members. Every phone call to your credit union is answered by a friendly and knowledgeable Westar FCU employee – never a machine! We strive to answer your questions and meet all of your banking needs with speed and accuracy. We provide you with traditional on-site banking, as well as internet banking, which is available to our members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
Westar FCU has made giving back to our local communities a top priority. Committed to the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People”, we make a difference in our local communities through donations, volunteerism and free financial education.
